Amherst Garden Center and Farm To Market is a small, family owned and operated nursery serving all of Southern NH. We offer plant material of the highest quality and take great pride in our expansive, ever-growing selection. Our storefront also operates as a farm to table market; where we carry many different goods produced by local vendors!

AGC is owned and operated by John Cochran, with great support from his wife Debbie Cochran, and his two daughters, Hannah and Chloe. With over 30 years of experience as a nurseryman, John continues to provide the surrounding communities with extensive horticultural knowledge and takes great pride in doing so. He is well known for his work ethic and wearing his work shorts year round!

We offer a fully-stocked nursery with ornamental & shade trees, shrubs & evergreens, perennials, and annuals. Our local market provides fresh seafood from the Portsmouth coast, honey, fresh eggs, meats, cheese, pasta products, sauces, coffee, baked goods, ice cream, hand-poured candles, and crafts. Additionally, we often partner with local companies to put on fun events like our annual food truck festival!

Our staff is a collection of bright and knowledgeable industry folk who are sincere and genuine in their desire to help our customers. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, just ask!
