Amherst Garden Center & Farm To Market (AGC) is an incredibly FUN place to work if you appreciate daily belly-laughter and don’t mind the wildlife that wanders through… (From bumble bees, turtles, ducks, hummingbirds, chipmunks, butterflies, etc. to woodchucks, deer and the occasional Blue Heron!!) We are looking for a highly motivated, hardworking and sales-driven person to join our nursery team!

The ideal candidates will have prior experience in the industry. Plant knowledge is a must/landscape design experience is preferred. Must be willing to learn how to use a Bobcat and other nursery equipment… training will be provided.

This role has multiple responsibilities including (but not limited to):

• Customer service and sales

• Set up and maintenance of greenhouse and nursery yard

• Loading customer orders and unloading delivery trucks

• Plant care and maintenance

• Seasonal set up and take down

• Safe use of nursery equipment

• Cash register and phone responsibilities

• All other assigned duties

We are open 7 days a week from March through December 24th, with a few select holidays off. Candidates must be able to work one weekend day per week throughout the busy season. In January and February, we are open for Farm To Market hours and scheduled “winter” greenhouse projects.

This role will require frequent bending, kneeling, lifting of 30+ pounds and requires a willingness to work outside in all weather conditions.
